Outer Window Shaft Strip, Removing And Installing: Removing

The following information describes the removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle as an example.

The outer window shaft strip will be called strip in the information that follows.

Depending on the equipment/version, design of the window shaft strip varies.

Vehicles with A-pillar trim:

-- Remove the A-pillar trim. Refer to A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  .

Continuation for all vehicles

-- Insert the wedge no. 3 -4- from the Removal Wedge Set :VAS 895 015  between the strip -1- and front door B-pillar trim -2-.

Tip

The metal insert in the strip cannot be bent straight.

Condition

• Remove the strip -1- evenly, starting form the outer edges.

-- Pry off the strip -1- using the Trim Release Lever - Wedge :T10039/1  -5- in the -direction of the arrow A- from the door flange -3-.
