Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the door handle. Refer to Exterior Door Handle, Removing and Installing .
Door handle with lock cylinder:
-- Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder, Removing and Installing .
Continuation for all vehicles
Door handle without lock cylinder:
-- Place a mark on the threads of a bolt M8, minimum length 50 mm -5-.
Position of the mark:
- 30 mm from the top of the bolt
Damage to components from installing the bolt too deep.
- Pay attention to the mark on the bolts when installing.
-- Install the bolt -5- in the hole of the closure cap -2- all the way to the mark.
Tip
Installation presses on the brackets -3- and thus releases the hooks -arrows-.
-- Move the bolt -5- back and forth slightly while pulling the closure cap -2- out of the door together with the bolt.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Remove the bolt -4- and remove the backing plate -3-.
-- Unclip the wire from the mounting bracket -1-.
-- Remove the mounting bracket -1- from the door.
-- Unclip the release cable -2- from the catch.
-- Remove the release cable pin -2- in -direction of the arrow A- from the mounting bracket mount -1-.
-- Remove the release cable -2- in -direction of the arrow B- from the mounting bracket -1-.
