Information Electronics Control Module 1 J794, Removing And Installing: Removing

If the control module is replaced, perform the test plan for replacing the information electronics control module.

-- Perform the "Control Module, Replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to INFORMATION ELECTRONICS COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Tilt the bracket with the control module -1- downward.

-- Disengage the bracket with control module -2- and remove.

-- Disconnect the connectors.

If the control module must be removed from the bracket:

-- Disengage the control module -2- using the Radio Removal Tool :T10057  -5-.

-- Move the control module -2- in -direction of the arrow-, until all side retainers -4- of the bracket -1- touch the pins -3-.

-- Lift the side catches -4- over the pins -3-.

-- Remove the control module -2-.
