The following information is provided in accordance with the EU Regulation 2019/621 and is only used for informational purposes regarding the regular technical inspection of vehicles.

| Vehicle preconditioning: 1. Vehicles may be tested without preconditioning. For safety reasons, the engine should be at operating temperature and in satisfactory mechanical condition. 2. Preconditioning requirements: i) The engine has reached operating temperature; for instance, the engine oil temperature measured by a probe in the oil level dipstick tube is at least 80 °C (176 °F) or is at the normal operating temperature as long as it is lower, or the engine block temperature measured using infrared radiation is at least an equivalent temperature. If this measurement cannot be performed due to the vehicle configuration, the establishment of the engine's normal operating temperature may be made by other means, for example by the operation of the engine cooling fan.
