Windshield, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Condition

Pay attention to the general information:

• Refer to INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
• Refer to ADHESIVES, GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT APPLICATION .
• Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIMES FOR BONDED WINDOWS .

If a windshield is installed which was not destroyed:

-- Refer to UNDAMAGED WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

If a new windshield will be installed:

-- Refer to NEW WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

Continuation

-- Prepare the body flange for installation. Refer to BODY FLANGE, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

-- Apply window adhesive all around the windshield.

Dimensions for bead diameter:

• Height 10 mm ± 1 mm
• Width 6.5 mm ± 0.5 mm

Tip

The routing of the adhesive bead can be taken from the removed windshield.

-- Check the gap dimensions with Gauge - Gap Adjustment :3371  at the same time pay attention to the Front Gap Dimensions .

-- Perform the "Windshield, Removing and Installing" functions, using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
