Continuation for all vehicles
Vehicles with wheel bolts SW19
-- Secure the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting VAS 6350/1A - using the Wheel Bolt Adapter VAS 6350/1-3A.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Attach the paddles -2- from the Calibration Device -VAS 6350A- to the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting -VAS 6350/1A- -1- and secure with a clamping screw.
-- Position the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting - VAS 6350/1A on the wheel bolts of the rear wheels.
Condition
- Position the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting VAS 6350/1A that the anti-theft wheel bolts do not touch the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting VAS 6350/1A.
-- Adjust the paddles -2-.
Condition
- The paddles -2- must be close to the ground and move easily and freely.
-- Position the calibration field -1- out of the Calibration Tool -VAS 6350A- at the -distance a- behind the vehicle.
Condition
- Dimension -a- = 400 mm to 1000 mm
-- Align the calibration field -1- parallel to the paddles -2-.
Condition
- Distance -dimension b- must be the same on both sides.
Tip
Note dimension -b- for the step later in the calibration. Ideal dimensions -b- = 1200 mm - 1700 mm
-- Switch on the Calibration Tool - Linear Laser -VAS 6350/3A- -1-
-- Adjust the calibration field in a way that the laser beam -2- strikes the center of the emblem at the rear of the vehicle.
-- Turn the plastic feet under the calibration field, until the bubble level -arrow- is centered.
-- Turn on the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser -VAS 6350/2A- and hold as shown in the display -1-.
-- Press the respective button of the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser - VAS 6350/2A -2- :

-- Press the measuring button.
Condition
- The laser beam of the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser -VAS 6350/2A- -2- must strike the paddle -1-.
- If the laser beam does not strike the paddle -1- in the center, then readjust the paddle -1-.
-- Write down the resulting value.
-- Repeat the procedure on the other side of the vehicle.
Condition
- The resulting values must be the same for both sides.
- If they differ, realign the Calibration Tool -VAS 6350A- until both values are the same.
-- Turn on the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser -VAS 6350/2A- and hold as shown in the display -1-.
-- Press the respective button of the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser -VAS 6350/2A- -2- :
- -arrow 1- : position with front edge
- -arrow 3- : position with rear edge
-- Measure the dimension -a- from the ground to the calibration field -1- using commercially available tape measure and note it down.
-- Enter dimension -a- in "mm" into the Vehicle diagnostic tester
-- Measure dimension -b- using a commercially available tape measure and write it down.
