Seals And Gaskets
- Always replace the O-rings, gaskets and seals.
- After removing the gaskets and seals, check the contact surfaces on the housing or shaft for burrs or damage resulting from removal.
- Coat the O-rings with ATF before inserting to prevent the rings from being crushed during assembly.
- Only use ATF. Other lubricants cause malfunctions in the hydraulic transmission control.
- It is not permitted to use lubricant or lubricating grease when installing the seal for the "torque converter".
- Coat the seals for the "final drive" at the outer circumference with transmission fluid (ATF) before installation and also coat the sealing lip -arrow-.

- The open side of the gaskets point toward the fluid to be sealed in.
