Transmission Fluid, Draining And Filling

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372000 
• Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit:VAS6617 

Transmission Fluid, Draining

-- Remove the front underbody trim panel. Refer to FRONT UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Place the Used Oil Collection and Extraction Unit:SMN372500  under the transmission.

-- Remove the transmission fluid drain plug -arrows- from the Three-Phase Current Drive 2 -VX97- -1- and drain the transmission fluid.

Conditions

• Let the transmission fluid drain for 10 min.

-- Insert the transmission fluid drain plug -arrows- and tighten.

Transmission Fluid, Filling

• Refer to the Electronic Parts Information for the transmission fluid allocation.
• Refer to FLUID CAPACITY TABLES .

-- Remove the plug for the transmission fluid filler hole -arrow-.

-- Fill the transmission fluid using the Pressurized Gearbox Oil Filler Kit:VAS6617  .

-- Insert a transmission fluid filler hole plug -arrow- and tighten.

-- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
