-- Perform the "control module, replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

-- Remove the Steering Column Electronics Control Module -J527-. Refer to the appropriate service information .
-- Unclip the wire bracket -3- for the wire -2-.
-- Disconnect the connector -4- on the control module -5-.
-- Pry out the bracket -2- using a commercially available screwdriver.
-- Create a center notch on the shear bolts -3- using a commercially available metal saw.
-- Remove shear bolts -3-.
-- Remove the control module -4- from the steering column -1-.
