Threaded Bushing, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
NOTE:
Always drive out the threaded bushing from above in the direction of the steering shaft.
-- Insert the threaded bushing in straight.
-- Drive in the threaded bushing until stop.
-- Position the steering gear -1- on the subframe.
-- Insert the steering gear threaded sleeves -2- in the subframe holes -arrow-.
-- For vehicles with a level control system sensor, perform the basic setting using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
If the steering wheel is still crooked after using the Locating Pins :T10486/1 then an axle alignment is necessary. In this case the record it in the vehicles axle alignment log.
