Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

The following describes the removal and installation of the left mounting bracket. The right side is identical.

-- Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to FRONT DOOR TRIM PANELS .

-- Depending on the version, remove the cap for or without the lock cylinder (refer to DOOR HANDLE CAP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) and the lock cylinder (refer to LOCK CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ).

-- Remove the door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the door inner cover. Refer to DOOR INNER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -4- .

-- Remove the mounting bracket -1- with the cable -2- from the door -arrow d- .

Cable, Loosening

-- Pivot the retainer -5- slightly -arrow a- .

-- Remove the cable pin out of the mount -arrow b- .
