Evaporator, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- If an expansion valve is not installed on the new evaporator, then transfer the expansion valve from the old evaporator. Refer to EXPANSION VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the seal/insulation -3- for damage and replace if necessary. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Coat the new seals with refrigerant oil before installing the refrigerant lines.

-- Clean the evaporator housing.

-- Check the condensation water drain. Refer to CONDENSATION WATER DRAIN, CHECKING .
