Center Console Insert, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- For vehicles with a DSG transmission, move the selector lever into "D/S".

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Insert the Wedge: T10383/2  at the front between the center console and shift cover and by carefully pushing the wedge downward pry out the shift cover from the center console.

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Carefully lift the center console insert -1- in the front area and pull it upward.

-- Detach the retainers from the wiring harness using the Window Release Tool: T10236  .

-- Disconnect the connectors.

-- Carefully lift the center console insert over the gearshift/selector lever -2-.
