General Information
- The engine control module is equipped with OBD. Before the repair as well as for Fault Finding check the DTC memory. Also the vacuum hoses and connections must be checked (unmetered air).
- For the electric components to function correctly, a voltage of at least 11.5 volts is required.
- Do not use sealants containing silicone. Particles of silicone components that are drawn into the engine are not burned there, and they damage the heated oxygen sensors.
- The vehicles have an emergency fuel shut-off. The emergency fuel shut-off reduces the risk of fire after a collision, because the fuel pump relay switches the fuel pump off.
- At the same time this setup also makes it easier to start the engine. When the driver-side door is opened, the fuel pump is activated for two seconds so that pressure builds in the fuel system, observe safety measures. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM .
