Engine Temperature Control Module -GX33-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- If necessary, check the coolant pump. Refer to Coolant Pump, Checking: .

• The contour on the Engine Temperature Control Module -GX33- -1- only fits in one position on the contour of the shaft from the coolant pump -2-.

• The actuator -3- is guided through the grooved pin on the coolant pump -4-.

• Follow the sequence:

-- If necessary, bring the shaft for the coolant pump into the installation position. Refer to Coolant Pump Bringing into Installation Position: .

-- Next, insert the contour of the actuator -1- on the shaft of the coolant pump -2-.

-- In the next step attach the hole on the actuator -3- on the pin of the coolant pump -4-.

-- Insert and install the bolts for the Engine Temperature Control Module -GX33-.

-- Tighten the bolts using the Torque Wrench 1783 - 2-10Nm (Hazet 6280-1CT): VAG1783  , Insert Tool: T10572  and Bit Torx T30: T10573  to 4.2 Nm.
