1. Bolt
   • 20 Nm
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
2. Bracket

   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
4. Oxygen Sensor 1 Before Catalytic Converter -GX10-
   • 55 Nm
   • Consists of:

     Heated Oxygen Sensor -G39-

     Oxygen Sensor Heater -Z19-

   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Oxygen Sensor 1 before Catalytic Converter -GX10-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Oxygen Sensor 1 after Catalytic Converter -GX7-
   • 55 Nm
   • Consists of:

     Oxygen Sensor after Catalytic Converter -G130-

     Heater for Oxygen Sensor 1 after Catalytic Converter -Z29-

   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Oxygen Sensor 1 after Catalytic Converter -GX7-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
6. Nut
   • 20 Nm
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
7. Clamping Sleeve
   • Before tightening, align the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
   • Installation position. Refer to CLAMPING SLEEVE INSTALLATION POSITION .
   • Tighten threaded connections evenly.
   • Tightening specification Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER .
8. Front Exhaust Pipe
   • On vehicles with a particulate filter the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter is one unit with the particulate filter.
   • Do not bend the decoupling element more than 10° - otherwise it may get damaged
   • Do not stretch the decoupling element.
   • Do not damage the wire mesh on the decoupling element.
   • Protect catalytic converter from shocks and impact stress
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Remove decoupling element guard on replacement part as late as possible
   • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
   • If a particulate filter is installed, it must be adapted with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester via the Guided Engine Function Adapting particulate filter adaptation values  .
9. Screw-Type Clamp
   • Replace after removing
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
10. Seal
    • Replace after removing
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Installing - To do so pry out the seal between the turbocharger and the catalytic converter and replace. .
11. Turbocharger
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - TURBOCHARGER .
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. Bolt
    • Tightening specification -item  2-.
13. Bracket
    • Replace if damaged
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT EXHAUST PIPE BEARING .
14. Bolt
    • 20 Nm

-- Mark the installation position of the turbocharger and catalytic converter as shown.

-- If new parts are installed, the markings must be transferred.
