Windshield, Removing And Installing: Installing
-- Prepare the undamaged glass window for installation. Refer to UNDAMAGED WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Prepare the new window glass for installation. Refer to NEW WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Prepare the body flange for installation. Refer to BODY FLANGE, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Follow the installation instructions. Refer to INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
-- Observe the minimum curing time. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIMES FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- Align the windshield gap dimensions. Refer to BODY FRONT
-- Secure the position of the windshield with spacers OVERVIEW - WINDSHIELD - Spacer until the end of the drying time.
-- When installing a new windshield -3-, the protective molding -1- must first be removed from the frame -2- before assembling the plenum chamber cover.
-- Before assembling the plenum chamber cover, remove the spacers (refer to OVERVIEW - WINDSHIELD - Spacer ) from under the frame -2-.
-- For vehicles with a Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera -R242-, install the front camera (refer to the appropriate service information ) and calibrate the front camera (refer to the appropriate service information .
