Safety Precautions When Handling A/C Service Stations
- Make sure the equipped shut-off valves are closed before connecting the charging system to the A/C system.
- Before disconnecting the A/C Service Station make sure that the process is completed so that only so little refrigerant which is technically unpreventable enters the atmosphere.
- Once the purified refrigerant from the A/C Service Station/extracting system has been transferred to an external compressed-gas cylinder, close the hand shut-off valves at the bottle and charging system.
- Do not expose the A/C Service Station, extraction and charging systems to moisture or use it in a wet environment.
- Disconnect from power supply before performing service work on the A/C Service Station, extraction and charging systems.
- Avoid using an extension cord to minimize the fire hazard. If the use of an extension cord is unavoidable, the minimum cross-section must be minimum 2.5 mm2 .
- In case of fire, remove the external cylinder.
- If oil is drawn away from the air conditioning system by the suction unit on the A/C Service Station into the included measurement reservoir, be sure to transfer it to a sealable container afterward because it contains a small quantity of refrigerant. Refrigerant must not be released into the environment.
- Following shutdown, the A/C Service Station is to be secured to stop it rolling away.
Only Place and use the A/C Service Station with Refrigerant R1234yf in Cool, Well Ventilated Areas.
- Protect from heat and direct sunlight, do not place and use in areas with temperatures above 50 °C (122 °F).
- Do not place or use near basements or other low laying areas.
- Only place and use in an area where there is a good flow of oxygen (complete air exchange at least once an hour in the work area and three times an hour in low laying areas for example in a pit).
