Calibration board orientation

-- Position the Calibration Tool - Lane Change Calibration Tool :VAS 6350/4  behind the vehicle with a distance of 1.40 m to 2.00 m (4.6 feet to 6.6 feet) between the angled brackets on the calibration device and the paddles at the rear wheel center wheel mountings as shown in the overview illustration -dimension A- -item  9-.

-- Bring the Calibration Unit :VAS 6350A  into a horizontal position.

-- Twist the plastic feet under the calibration board so that the air bubble in the level is located exactly in the center of the indicator -arrow-.

CAUTION:
  • Make sure light does not reflect off the calibration board.
  • Reflections impair the Rearview Camera -R189- and may make it impossible to perform the calibration.
CAUTION:

The vehicle in the illustration is only a basic outline.

-- Switch on the Calibration Tool - Linear Laser :VAS 6350/3  -1- on the calibration board and adjust the entire Calibration Unit :VAS 6350A  so that the laser beam hits the center of vehicle rear above the VW emblem.
