Intake Camshaft Position Sensor -G1002-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

NOTE:

The intake camshaft position sensor cannot be replaced at this time.

If faulty, replace the camshaft housing.

CAUTION:

The factory installed sensor and ignition system are not suitable for checking and repair purposes. Interchanging sensors from the ignition system can lead to engine malfunction and drivability problems.

- Only replace the factory installed sensor with the corresponding sensor according to the Parts Information.

- Do not use the factory installed sensor for checking and repair purposes.

- Do not interchange the sensors with each other or between different vehicles.

Removing 

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release and detach the connector -3- on the Intake Camshaft Position Sensor -G1002- -1-.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the Intake Camshaft Position Sensor -G1002- -1- from the camshaft housing.

Installing: 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Check the O-ring for damage and if necessary replace.

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
