Rain/Light Recognition Sensor G397, Removing And Installing: Removing

If the rain/light recognition sensor is replaced by a sensor with a different part number, the new rain/light recognition sensor must be coded.

-- Perform the "Rain/Light Recognition Sensor, Replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

-- Remove the interior rearview mirror. Refer to INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows-.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the connecting pad by removing to quickly.

- Keep to a wait time of at least 1 minute so that the connecting pad can release the tension.

-- Pry out the rain/light recognition sensor -2- starting at the top carefully out of the interior rearview mirror baseplate.

-- Remove the rain/light recognition sensor -2-.
