Gearshift Knob, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Press the gearshift knob and the dust protector all the way on the gearshift lever.

-- Secure the gearshift knob using the bolt -arrow- on the gearshift lever. Use the Hose Clip Pliers: V.A.G 1275A  for this.

-- First check if an adjustment of the selector mechanism is necessary, before the shift lever boot is clipped in the bracket. Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM, CHECKING .
