Condenser, Removing And Installing: Removing
Immediately seal off any open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set: VAS 6122 .
Continuation
-- Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the condenser. Refer to REFRIGERANT LINES, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING FROM CONDENSER .
Vehicles with 1.0L and 1.5L TFSI Engine:
-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
-- Remove the fan shroud. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
Radiator Mount with Catches
-- Cut through the catches -arrows- of the retainers with a commercially available diagonal cutter.
Tip
The radiator mount can be reused. It is attached to the lock carrier. Bolts. Refer to the Parts Information.
Radiator Mount with Threaded Connection
-- Remove the bolts -arrow-.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Press the radiator with the charge air cooler and condenser lightly in the -direction of the arrow-.
Vehicles with 2.0L TDI Engine
-- Remove the charge air cooling circuit cooler. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
Vehicles with 2.0L TFSI Engine
-- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, GOLF, TIGUAN, ARTEON, T-ROC AND PASSAT .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Release the right and left sealing lip -1- on the bottom in the -direction of the arrow A- and on the top in the -direction of the arrow B-.
-- Release the catches -1- in the -direction of the arrow A-.
-- Remove the condenser -3- in the -direction of the arrow B- from the mounts -2-.
