Removing
Detach the coolant expansion tank and move it to the side
Remove the coolant expansion tank
Detach the coolant expansion tank and move it to the side
The cooling system might be under pressure. There is a risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
Scalding the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Reduce the pressure by covering the coolant expansion tank cap with a suitable towel and carefully opening it.
-- To decrease the pressure in the cooling system, briefly open the cap -1- for the coolant expansion tank -arrow- and close again.
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Open the bracket -2- and disengage the fuel hoses -3-.
-- Release the hook -4- and put aside the coolant expansion tank -5-.
Remove the Coolant Expansion Tank

-- Disconnect the coolant hoses -1 and 2- using the Hose Clamps - Up To 25 mm: 3094 .
-- Remove the coolant hose -1-, for this, open the clamp -3-.
-- Close the coolant expansion tank connection using a suitable plug.
-- Turn around the coolant expansion tank.
-- Remove the coolant hose -2-, for this, open the clamp -4-.
-- Remove and drain the coolant expansion tank.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Connect the coolant hoses and secure them with clamps. At the same time pay attention to the marks for installing.
-- Remove the hose clamps.
-- Insert the coolant expansion tank into the mount and engage.
-- Add coolant and check the coolant concentration. Refer to Cooling System, Checking Coolant Concentration .
