Front Backrest, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
NOTE:
Observe the general safety precautions for pyrotechnical components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING WITH PYROTECHNIC COMPONENTS .
CAUTION:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
Risk of injury.
- Discharge static electricity: briefly touch the door striker.
-- Replace any damaged cable ties and clips.
-- Route the wires in their original locations.
Tightening sequence with installing the backrest on the right seat:
- 1. Tunnel-side, front bolt
- 2. Sill-side, front bolt
- 3. Sill-side, rear bolt
- 4. Tunnel-side, rear bolt
Tightening sequence with installing the backrest on the left seat:
- 1. Sill-side, front bolt
- 2. Tunnel-side, front bolt
- 3. Tunnel-side, rear bolt
- 4. Sill-side, rear bolt
