Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

If the control module is replaced, perform the test plan for replacing the information electronics control module.

-- Perform the "control module, replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .

Continuation 

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors at the control module -2-.

-- Tilt the control module -2- with the bracket -3- in direction of -arrow-.

-- Disengage the hook -4- and remove the control module -2-.

If the Control Module must be Removed from the Bracket: 

-- Disengage the control module -2- using the Radio Removal Tool: T10057  -5-.

-- Move the control module -2- in direction of -arrow-, until all side retainers -4- of the bracket -1- touch the pins -3-.

-- Lift the side catches -4- over the pins -3-.

-- Remove the control module -2-.
