Overview - Door

NOTE:

The left side is shown in the image.

After replacing the A-pillar, the bolts -2- and -5- as well as -14- and -17- are to be tightened to another tightening specification.

  1. Front Door
  2. Hex Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the A-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the A-pillar: 20 Nm + 90

  3. Door Hinge
    • The hinge is divided. The upper and lower section can be replaced separately if necessary.
    • The lower section is attached to the upper hinge portion with the threaded pin -8-.
  4. Cap
    • For the threaded pin -8-
    • Is not installed in all markets.
  5. Hex Bolt
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • The instrument panel is not removed for loosening and tightening.
    • To remove and install, the instrument panel must be removed. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the A-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the A-pillar: 20 Nm + 90

  6. Cap
    • For bolts -7- and -16-
    • Is not installed in all markets.
  7. Hex Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • 50 Nm
  8. Threaded Pin
    • Attaches the upper section of the hinge -9- with the lower section -3-
  9. Door Hinge
    • The hinge has two sections. The upper and lower section can be replaced separately if necessary.
    • The upper section is attached to the lower hinge portion with the threaded pin -8-.
  10. Bolt
    • 30 Nm
  11. Bolt
    • Quantity: 2
    • 8 Nm
  12. Door Arrester
  13. Door Hinge
    • The hinge has two sections. The upper and lower section can be replaced separately if necessary.
    • The lower section is attached to the upper hinge portion with the threaded pin -8-.
  14. Hex Bolt
    • Installed from the vehicle interior
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • To remove and install, the A-pillar gap cover must be removed. Refer to A-PILLAR GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the A-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the A-pillar: 20 Nm + 90°

  15. Door Hinge
    • The hinge has two sections. The upper and lower section can be replaced separately if necessary.
    • The upper section is attached to the lower hinge portion with the threaded pin -8-.
  16. Hex Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • 50 Nm
  17. Hex Bolt
    • Loosening one time to adjust the door is permitted. Always replace afterward.
    • 50 Nm
      NOTE:

      Another tightening specification must be observed after replacing the A-pillar.

      Tightening specification after replacing the A-pillar: 20 Nm + 90
