Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward.

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Remove the left installation opening cover. Refer to INSTALLATION OPENING COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to FUEL TANK, DRAINING . Completely empty the left fuel tank.

-- Open the locking ring using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit: T10202  -A-.

-- Remove the sealing flange and seal at the fuel tank opening.

-- Pay attention to the different versions and installation positions of the wiring harnesses.

Version 1:

-- Reach through the opening on the fuel tank. Release the connector safety catches in the direction of -arrow- the connectors -1-, then remove.

-- Free up the wiring harness at the two brackets of the mount and guide out.

-- Reach through the opening on the fuel tank. Release the connector safety catches in the direction of -arrow- the connectors -1-, then remove.

-- Reach into the fuel tank through the opening, release the connector safety catches in the direction of -arrows A-.

-- Push out the connector -1- from the retainer in the direction of -arrow B-.

Continuation for All Vehicles:

-- Reach through the opening in the fuel tank, release the latch -2- on the tab and remove the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- upward at the same time in the direction of -arrow C-.
