Right Seal On Outer Front Axle Differential Lock, Replacing: Installing

-- Lightly oil the outer edge of the new seal.

-- Install the seal all the way without tilting it.

-- Fill the space between the sealing/dust lip -arrow- halfway with Sealing Grease: G 052 128 A1  .

Replace the circlip arrow.

-- Press in the flange shaft all the way by hand.

-- Carefully drive in the flange shaft without tilting.

-- Tighten the flange shaft with a bolt.

-- Fill the front axle differential lock. Refer to FRONT AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, install the drive axle heat shield -arrows-. Refer to DRIVE AXLE HEAT SHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

Tightening Specification 

• Flange shaft bolt -item 2- Bolt
