Condensation Water Drain, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- The condensation water drain hose can only be correctly slid onto the heater and A/C unit -1- in one position until it stops.
- The tab -arrow- on the connection must engage into the guide -2-.
- If a commercially available cable tie -3- was used to secure the condensation water drain -5-, replace it.
- The condensation water drain hose must be routed as shown in the image from underneath the wiring harness of the Airbag Control Module -J234- -6-.
-- Insert the condensation water drain hose -1- into the body opening until it audibly engages.
- The condensation water drain hose -1- must be clipped into the body opening -2- completely and with pre-tension.
- The sealing lip must not sit loosely on the body opening.
- The tabs must be completely engaged.
- If the pretension is inadequate, seal the connection point between the body and the bracket with silicone adhesive, for example. Refer to the Parts Information.
NOTE:
Install the condensation water drain hose so that it is not twisted or crushed.
When installing the carpet, make sure it does not push up against the condensation water drain hose.
If the condensation water drain hose sits too loosely on the heater and A/C unit connection secure it from falling with for example a hose clamp. Hose clamps. Refer to the Parts Information.
