Thermostat, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Lift the vehicle, all four mounts from lifting platform at the same height.

-- Move the selector lever to >>P<<.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (2.0L) or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (3.6L) .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bolt -A- and the ATF lines -2- from the thermostat -1-.

-- Seal the ATF lines with suitable plugs taken from the Engine Bung Set: VAS6122  .

-- Remove the bolts -B- and remove the thermostat -1- from the transmission.
