Requirement
- Engine/transmission assembly is removed and secured on the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Engine Support:T10359A .
-- Remove the coolant pipe from the transmission. Refer to COOLANT PIPE ON TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the nuts -1-.
-- Remove the bracket -2-.
-- Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left air duct pipe. Refer to Left Air Duct Pipe, Removing and Installing .
AWD Vehicles
-- Remove the bolts -A and B-.
-- Remove the bracket -1-.
Continuation for All Vehicles
-- Place a cleaning cloth on the transmission fluid cooler and transmission to absorb escaping coolant.
-- Loosen the clamps -arrows- and remove the coolant hoses.
-- Secure the Lifting Support:2024B -2- at the Shop Crane:VAS 6100 -1-.
-- Place two securing straps -3- around the transmission.
-- Engage the lifting tackle -2- at the transmission and in the securing straps -3- and slightly pretension.
-- Secure the lifting tackle -2- with spring connector -arrows-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 through 8-.
-- Remove the transmission from the engine.
