Resetting the service interval display
The service interval display can only be reset through the >>Service<< menu.
| Vehicles with Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro | |
|---|---|
| 1. | Select the >>Service<< menu and follow the instructions on the instrument cluster display. |
| 2. | Select the >>Range<< information profile. |
| 3. | Press and hold the OK button on the multi-function steering wheel for approximately four seconds. |
| 4. | Navigate in the menu using the buttons on the multi-function steering wheel. |
| Vehicles with Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Basic | |
|---|---|
| 1. | Select the >>Service<< menu and follow the instructions on the instrument cluster display. |
| 2. | Select the >>Travel time/distance driven<< secondary display. |
| 3. | Press and hold the Menu icon back button or Menu icon forward button on the multi-function steering wheel in the same direction for approximately six seconds. |
| 4. | Use the ↑ or ↓ arrow buttons to navigate the menu. |
Do >>not<< reset the service reminder between service intervals; or incorrect information will be displayed.
If the oil change service was manually reset, the service interval display then also switches to a fixed service interval, even on vehicles with >>flexible oil change service<<.
The service message automatically disappears after a few seconds when the engine is running or by pressing the OK/RESET button on the windshield wiper lever or the OK button on the multifunction steering wheel.
If the 12 V vehicle battery in a vehicle with the flexible service interval has been disconnected for an extended period, the time for the next oil change service cannot be calculated. Therefore, the service interval displays may show incorrect calculations. If this is the case, follow the maximum permissible maintenance intervals.
