Cell Phone Preparation

Bluetooth hands-free calling is integrated in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

Operation takes place via the Front Information Display Control Head -J685- or via the Cellular Telephone -R54-.

The Cellular Telephone -R54- is connected via Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth Antenna -R152- is installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-.

The hands-free calling consists of the following components:

Front Information Display Control Head -J685-
Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- with Bluetooth Antenna -R152-
Telephone Microphone -R38-
Optional Storage Compartment with Cell Phone Interface -R265-

CAUTION:

Fault Finding is performed using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Notes on Bluetooth technology

A standardized radio connection is used for data transfer between the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and Cellular Telephone -R54- - Bluetooth Technology.

An additional transmitter/receiver unit is installed in the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-. A Bluetooth Antenna -R152- connects the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and Cellular Telephone -R54- so that the Cellular Telephone -R54- can be operated wirelessly (no wire connection).

The range is approximately 10 meters.
