Overview - Sound System

Vehicles with six speakers (8RL)
On vehicles with six speakers the sound system is comprised of the following components:
- Two speakers each (treble speaker and bass speaker) in the left and right front doors.
- One speaker (broadband speakers) each in the left and right rear doors.
- Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- in the center instrument panel/in the glove compartment
Vehicles with eight speakers (8RM)
On vehicles with 8 speakers the sound system is comprised of the following components:
- Two speakers each (treble speaker and bass speaker) in the left and right front doors.
- Two speakers each (treble speaker and bass speaker) in the left and right rear doors.
- Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- in the center instrument panel/in the glove compartment
Vehicles with sound system "Dynaudio" (9VX)
On vehicles with "Dynaudio" sound system is comprised of the following components:
- Two speakers each (treble speaker and bass speaker) in the left and right front doors.
- Two speakers each (treble speaker and bass speaker) in the left and right rear doors.
- One effects speaker each in the left and right D-pillar trim panels
- Center Speaker -R208- in the Center Instrument Panel
- Subwoofer -R211- in the spare tire well
- Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- under the Left Front Seat
- Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- in the Glove Compartment
For data exchange between the Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- and the Digital Sound System Control Module -J525- the MOST bus is used.
