Plenum Chamber Cover, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:

New windshields have an insert in the retainer. Remove this insert before installing the plenum chamber cover.

Press the plenum chamber cover into the retainer gently by hand. Do not strike it or press on it with a tool under any circumstances.

Striking the plenum chamber cover into the windshield retainer may cause the windshield to crack.

-- Spray the retainer -7- with soapy water so that the plenum chamber covers -1 and 2- can be pressed in more easily.

-- Fist push the plenum chamber covers -1- on the fender -8-.

-- Place the plenum chamber covers -1- onto the retainer -5-. Starting at the outside, gently push it into the retainer -7-.

-- Then push the plenum chamber covers -2- on the fender -8-.

-- Push the plenum chamber covers -2- over the wiper arm shaft.

-- Place the plenum chamber covers -2- on the retainer -7-. Starting at the outside, gently push it into the retainer.

-- Clip the clips -4- (quantity: 3).

-- Attach the seal -5- to the plenum chamber covers -1- and -2-.

-- Install the wiper arms. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
