Tires, Checking Condition

Checks during Pre-Delivery Inspection
-- Check for damage and for any foreign objects that may be lodged in the tire treads and side walls.
Checks during Service
-- Check for damage and for any foreign objects that may be lodged in the tire treads and side walls.
-- Check tire treads for cupping, feathering, one-sided tread wear, porous side walls, cracks, cuts, and rim damage.
-- Check the running direction or interior/exterior positioning.
-- Check tire aging.
NOTE:

If damage is discovered, the tire must be examined to determine whether a new one must be installed.
