CAUTION:

For driving safety, all tires on the vehicle should be of the same make and tread design.

- Mind the approved wheel/tire combinations. Refer to 44 WHEELS, TIRES, WHEEL ALIGNMENT .

NOTE:

The tire pressures for relevant model are found on a sticker. This sticker is bonded on the inside of the fuel filler door or on the B-pillar.

Observe that the inflation pressure specifications on the sticker refer to the air pressure of cold tires.

For warm tire the raised tire pressure must not be reduced.

Depending on the vehicle the sticker my contain a comfort filling pressure. The comfort filling pressure increases the driving comfort.

Adjust the tire pressure to vehicle load. The partial load tire pressure should be used during the pre-delivery inspection or when servicing.

If the tire pressure for the spare wheel is not listed, then fill the spare wheel with the highest tire pressure specified for the vehicle.

On vehicles with tire pressure monitoring display, make sure that a basic setting is performed after each pressure adjustment. Refer to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM, CALIBRATING .

Winter Tires

NOTE:

For important information about winter tires recommended by Volkswagen, refer to 44 WHEELS, TIRES, WHEEL ALIGNMENT .

If winter tires are installed, a label informing the customer of the speed limit must be affixed inside the passenger compartment so that it is clearly visible.

On winter tires, the tire pressure must no longer be increased.

This applies only if the winter tires being used are the exact same size as the approved summer tires, and the speed index does not exceed "H".

If deviating from this, then the tire manufacturer recommendations must be followed.
