Engine And Engine Compartment Components, Visually Inspecting For Leaks And Damage (From Above And Below)

-- Remove the engine cover, if necessary. Refer to ENGINE COVER "Top", REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If necessary remove the engine compartment cover (noise insulation) - below -. Refer to "Lower" ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER (NOISE INSULATION), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Perform visual check as follows:

-- Check engine and components in engine compartment for leaks and damage.

-- Check the lines, hoses and connections on the following systems:

Check for leaks, chafing, porosity, cracks, correct positioning and attachment in the brackets.

NOTE:

Damage found during the repair procedure must be corrected.

Determine the cause of fluid loss, which cannot be attributed to normal use and repair.
