Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing

-- Remove the driver side instrument panel side cover. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL SIDE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the footwell cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the driver side footwell trim center console panel. Refer to FRONT FOOTWELL CENTER CONSOLE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the driver side storage compartment. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - STORAGE COMPARTMENT AND COVERS .

-- Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the knee airbag -1-. Refer to OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG .

-- Remove the footwell vent on the driver side. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .

-- Remove the bolt -1- and fold the footwell trim panel -2- in the direction of the -arrow- into the vehicle interior.

-- Unlock and disconnect the connector -2- from the accelerator pedal module.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Remove the accelerator pedal module -3- from the mounting.

-- Remove the brake pedal crash bolster -1- disengage -2- and push to the side. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL CROSSMEMBER .

-- Remove the Headlamp Range Control Module -J431- /Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module -J745- -1- and move to the side. Refer to CORNERING LAMP AND HEADLAMP RANGE CONTROL MODULE -J745-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, DISCONNECTING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .

-- Remove the nuts -1 to 4-.

-- Carefully remove the pedal assembly.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Connect the brake pedal with the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, ATTACHING TO BRAKE BOOSTER .

Nut Tightening Sequence:

Tightening Specifications

• Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE PEDAL 
• Crash bolster. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL CROSSMEMBER .
• Footwell Vent. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN VEHICLE INTERIOR .
• Knee Airbag. Refer to OVERVIEW - DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG .
• Driver Side Covers. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - STORAGE COMPARTMENT AND COVERS .
