Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the installed position of all the components.
Replace the gasket if damaged.
Route the wires correctly in the mount.
-- Pull on the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- to check that it is secure.
Passat and Arteon:
-- Coat the inner side of the seal -3- with fuel.
-- Remove the suction jet pump -1-.
-- Make sure when inserting the Fuel Gauge Sensor 2 -G169- -2- that the sensor arm for the fuel gauge is not bent.
-- Pay attention that the installation position of the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- is as shown.
Tiguan:
-- Coat the inner side of the seal -3- with fuel.
-- Remove the suction jet pump -1-.
-- When inserting the Fuel Gauge Sensor 2 -G169- -4-, make sure the sensor arm for the fuel gauge is not bent.
-- Pay attention that the installation position of the Fuel Level Sensor 2 -G169- is as shown.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Press the sealing flange downward against the spring force and move the sealing flange into the installation position.
-- Pay attention to the installation position of the sealing flange. Refer to Figure.
-- When inserting the sealing flange, the seal must not be damaged or crushed.
-- Tighten the locking ring using the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit:T10202 .
-- Pull on the connector to make sure it is secure.
-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
