Abs Control Module And Abs Hydraulic Unit, Removing And Installing, RHD: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
Only remove the plugs on the new hydraulic unit if the corresponding brake line is installed.
If the plugs are removed from the hydraulic unit, brake fluid can escape and the unit may not be sufficiently filled or adequately bled.
When installing the bracket, make sure the rubber bushing does not push out of the bracket. Make sure the hydraulic unit is secure after installing it, otherwise malfunctions can occur.
-- Before assembling the holder for the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55- in the bracket, spray the rubber bushings with Silicone Lubricant Spray:D 007 000 A2 .
-- Install the brake lines carefully with the Torque Wrench - Assembly Tool:VAG1410/8 .
Brake Line Tightening Sequence:
-- First pre-tighten the lines in the sequence -4- to -1- then tighten
-- Then pre-tighten both brake lines in the sequence -A- to -B- and tighten.
-- Remove the Brake Pedal Actuator:VAG1869/2 .
-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, STANDARD BLEEDING .
-- If the ABS Control Module -J104- is replace perform the 0003 - Control Module, Replacing (Starting) function. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to do so.
