Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Move the ignition key outside of the vehicle to prevent the ignition from switching on unintentionally.

-- Remove the remaining data storage device from the control module.

-- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Insert the two clamps from the removal tool in the release slots on the control module -1- until these engage.

• Points on grip eyes must face outward.

-- Remove the control module -1- from the grip eyelets from the removal tool out of the glove compartment.

-- Release and disconnect the connectors at the control module -1-.

Equipment levels with MOST Bus

-- Connect the protective cap -1- to the MOST-Bus connector -2-.

-- Push the locking tabs on the control module and guide out the removal tool.
