Control Module for Emergency Call Module and Communication Unit -J949-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition and all electrical equipment.

-- Move the ignition key outside of the vehicle to prevent switching on the ignition unintentionally.

-- Remove the Infotainment system display. Refer to INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM DISPLAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Pull the bracket with the control module -1- toward the rear out of the instrument panel until the connectors are accessible.

-- Release and disconnect the connectors at the control module -1-.

-- Release the catches -3- in the direction of -arrow A-.

-- Pull the control module -1- in the direction of -arrow B- out of the bracket -2-.
