Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor, Removing And Installing: Installing
The connector couplings must >>audibly<< engage when locking.
Pull on the connector coupling to check for secure fit.
-- Install the fuel delivery unit without the flange. Be careful not to bend the fuel gauge sensor.
-- Attach the suction jet pump intake line -arrows- and lock it into place.
-- Connect the connector coupling -2-.
-- Place the flange -1- on the delivery unit -2-. While doing so pay attention to the installed position of the guide pins -arrows-.
-- Pull the new gasket -A- over the flange and insert it into the fuel tank opening.
-- Coat the inside of the gasket with fuel.
-- Bring the sealing flange into the installed position and press down against the spring force.
- The latch -2- from the sealing flange must lie between the tabs -1 and 3-.
- The -arrow- points in the direction of travel.
-- Insert the locking ring and fasten using the : T10202 . Tightening specification. Refer to Tightening Specification .
-- Do not bend the : T10202 and push hard on the locking ring. If the wrench slides down, the fuel delivery unit can be damaged.
-- Connect the fuel line -2-.
-- Connect the connector -1-.
-- Pull on the connector coupling and connectors to make sure they are fastened securely.
-- Install the cover -1-. The arrow on the cover -2- must point in the direction of travel.
-- Install the bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
