- Cylinder Head Bolt Socket: 3410
- Trim Removal Wedge: 3409
The adjustment is only for the left front door. The adjustment for the right front door is identical.
The vehicle must be resting on its wheels in order to adjust the front door.
The front door is properly adjusted when there is an overall even gap dimension when closed. It is not too far inward or outward. And the contours align.
Checking the gap dimensions. Refer to BODY CENTER .
Perform corrosion protection measures on the hinges and the bolts after assembling or adjusting.
Gap Dimensions, Adjusting
It is necessary to loosen the bolts -3, 4, and 6- on the A-pillar in order to adjust the gap dimensions correctly.
-- To remove the bolt -6-, the instrument panel must be removed. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the A-pillar lower trim panel to access the bolt -4-. Refer to A-PILLAR GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Flush Dimension Adjustment
The bolts -2- must be loosened in order to adjust the flush dimensions correctly.
Use the : 3320 with the respective bit for this.
Other measures, such as aligning the front door upward, are not effective. Excess pressure afterward will cause the front door to sag.
Adjust the striker. Refer to STRIKER, ADJUSTING .
Tightening Specifications
