ATF Cooler, Removing And Installing, Round Version: Removing
-- Move the selector lever into >>P<<.
-- Remove the engine cover with the air filter. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the hoses -arrows- and remove the intake hose from the throttle valve.
-- Unclip the Transmission Control Module -J217- -3- at the top of the bracket -7- and remove it upward.
-- Release the connector -2- and remove it from the Transmission Control Module -J217-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 6-.
-- Move the bracket -7- with the power steering fluid reservoir to the side. Pay attention to the wires -4 and 5-.
The hoses remain attached to the power steering fluid reservoir.
-- Remove the battery and the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Mark the ATF cooler coolant hoses to prevent confusing them when installing them later.
-- Clamp the coolant hoses to the ATF cooler with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm: 3094 and Hose Clamps - Up To 40mm: 3093 .
-- Open the spring clamps -A- and pull the coolant hoses -B and C- off the ATF cooler.
-- Seal the coolant hoses and connections with suitable plugs taken from the Engine Bung Set: VAS6122 .
-- Remove the bolt -arrow A- and pull the ATF cooler -1- and O-ring off the transmission.
