Rear Window, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
-- Prepare the undamaged window for glazing. Refer to UNDAMAGED WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Prepare the new window glass for glazing. Refer to NEW WINDOW GLASS, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Prepare the body flange for glazing. Refer to BODY FLANGE, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .
-- Follow the installation instructions. Refer to INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
-- Observe the minimum curing time. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIMES FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
-- Open the rear lid -2- slightly as shown.
-- Guide the rear window -1- first under the rear lid using two : VAG1344 in direction of -arrow A-.
-- Then place the rear window -1- on the body flange in direction of -arrow B -.
-- Align the rear window gap dimensions and secure with cloth tape. Refer to Body Rear
