Overview - Selector Mechanism

WARNING:
Move the selector lever into "P" and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.
- Handle with Shift Cover
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. Only unclip the cover for the emergency release. Refer to EMERGENCY RELEASE FROM P .
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Selector Mechanism
- With integrated Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module -J587- with Selector Lever -E313-, Tiptronic Switch -F189-, Selector Lever Park Position Lock Switch -F319- and Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-.
- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Checking and Adjusting. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .

- With installed grommet and spacer for the cable bracket mounting on the transmission

- Selector Lever Cable Adjusting Bolt

- Removing and installing. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Lock Washer
- Replace after removing
- Secures the selector lever cable on the cable bracket
- Bolt
- 20 Nm

- Replace after removing
