Rear Side Window, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- In the cut-out section for the rear side window, protect the surrounding components from paint damage using cloth tape -1-.

-- Using the : T10383/1  , push the rear side window seal to the side.

-- Place the cutting wire -3- behind the rear side window seal using the small tube -2- from the : VAG1755  .

-- Attach the : VAG1351/1  to both ends of the cutting wire -1-.

-- Cut out the rear side window using light sawing motions in direction of -arrow A- and in direction of -arrow B-.

NOTE:

When removing the rear side window, the centering pins -2- on the inside of the side window is cut through.

Increased force is necessary to cut through the centering pins.

The centering pins are only relevant for the production.

A cut-out window glass can be reinstalled without these centering pins.
